The 5 Love Languages of Children-By Gary Chapman and Ross Campbell

Y’all. I love Gary Chapman. I was so excited to see his book, “The 5 Love Languages of Children”, on my list of available books. He is also the author of  several other love language books. I have read a couple, and they are fantastic!! Here is a picture of the cover of the book I will be reviewing today:

I have 2 small children. Reading this book has informed me that my kids also have a love language I need to learn to speak. One that is specific to their need for love and nurture. One that will also help fill their love tank, and help carry them into adulthood. One thing I did learn, was my kids do not have the same love language. I thought they would have the same one, but they don’t. They have a language that is just as special, and unique as they are. The 5 love languages discussed in the book are:

-physical touch

-quality time

-receiving gifts

-acts of service

-words of affirmation

My son is 4 years old. He has recently regressed into some behaviors that is similar to his younger sister. He has started biting, hitting, screaming, and talking like a baby. After reading this book, and prayer,  I have learned more about his love language. How to apply it to him, and how I parent him, has been a game changer. I can tell a huge difference. This book goes in depth with each love language, and how to deliver to your child.

I could go on and on with how wonderful this book is, but I would give it all away, and this post would be insanely long!  I highly recommend this book for everyone with small children. If you have teenagers, there is a love language book for them as well! Check out the website here. You can also download free study guides, buy the books, and other free resources there! Purchase the book, you will not regret it! I give this book a 5/5 stars!

If you have already read the book, comment below! I would love to hear from you!

Disclosure: I received this book free from the publisher, Moody Publishers, in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are honest, and my own.
