The First Look Blog Tour Stops Here Today!!

Happy Tuesday! Hope you had a great 3-day weekend! Today on the blog, I am participating in The First Look Blog Tour, by Worthy Publishing Group! This is a first time for me, and I am so excited to share what I have been reading with all of you! Today, I have two books for you. Both are children’s books, and both are DARLING! They have both become our favorite bedtime stories! My 4 year old and 2 year old loves it when we read these books to them! They are easy reads, with soothing and comforting words.  The titles of these books are; God Made The Sun and God Made The Moon, written by Mary Manz Simon and illustrated by Lizzie Walkley.

Here is a picture of the covers, along with a brief description from the publisher:

An engaging die-cut board book that introduces little ones to the concept of sunlight and daytime
God Made the Sun is a celebration of God’s gift of daytime to the world. Beginning with the first rays of sunlight and moving through the day, this book reminds little ones that God’s love shines on us just as the sun shines on the earth. With its lyrical rhythm, sweet illustrations, and novelty die-cut feature, the book will serve as a welcome reminder of God’s presence in our lives.

An engaging die-cut board book that introduces little ones to the concept of moonlight and nighttime
God Made the Moon is a celebration of God’s gift of nighttime to the world. Beginning with the first sleepy yawn and ending with a bedtime prayer, this book reminds little ones that God’s love shines on us just as the moon shines on the earth. With its lyrical rhythm, sweet illustrations, and novelty die-cut feature, the book will be a welcome addition to any child’s bedtime rituals.

My Review:
These books are so sweet! They are both short board books with important messages inside. First, I will tell you about God Made The Sun.

God Made The Sun follows a little boy throughout his day. The rhyming text is sweet, and it describes to us what the little boy does with the day God has given him. The last page of the book stood out to me the most;
“Then, when the sun starts sliding down

and carries off the light,

I’m sure that God, who made the sun,

will stay with me tonight”.

So sweet and comforting for little ears! The illustrations correspond perfectly with the text. They are brightly colored and very attractive.
God Made The Moon follows a little girl from moon rise, till bedtime. This book also has sweet rhyming text, that guides us through her nighttime routine. My favorite part of this book was;

 “I talk to God about the things that happened through the day

I know He listens to my words

at bedtime when I pray”.

This book also has stunning illustrations to correspond with the text. Each beautiful to see!

It is so refreshing to have these books in my collection. Both have such a wonderful message. God made the sun and moon, and He is always watching over us. What an awesome way to put our kids to sleep! They last thing they hear is how our loving God watches us in the sun light and the moon light. That comforts me as an adult! If you have small children, I highly recommend you add these beautiful books to your nightly routine! I rate them both a 5/5 stars!!
You can purchase God Made The Sun on Amazon here, and God Made The Moon here.
