Lord, Have Mercy: Help and Hope for Moms On Their Last Nerve-By: Ellen Miller

Being a mom is HARD. I begged to be able to quit my job and stay at home with the kids thinking, “how hard can it be?”. Boy…I was in for a huge surprise! I thought being a stay at home mom would consist of Pinterest crafts with my kids all day, every day trips to the park, and Netflix marathons during nap times when both kids would sleep at the same time. Oh my gosh. This stay at home mom job is HARD. Harder than ANY job I have ever had. EVER. I am suddenly a referee, cook, maid, chauffeur, doctor, accountant, CEO, just to name a few. But boy is it rewarding. I would not trade this precious time with my kids for anything. They are only little once. They only hit milestones once. I have a lifetime to work. And I realize this is not possible for 90% of moms and I’m so grateful for the hard work my husband does so I can be with the kids. I don’t ever want to take this opportunity for granted.
Now…back to what I am here for! Ellen Miller’s new 90-day devotional, Lord, Have Mercy. I found these devotions to be relatable. Just what I needed. I laughed so hard, and they made me think. These devotions gave me so much confidence as a mother, and reassuring me I am not alone. Each devotion is short, and includes a verse of scripture to back up the devotion. There is also several sections with different themed scripture readings. Each has a short 2-3 paragraph devotion, followed by a few pages of scripture to encourage you.
I am so thankful to have found this book! I highly recommend this book to all moms!

I rate it a 5/5 stars!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for my honest review. All opinions expressed here are true and my own.
